Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Deves mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

The App is operated by Awisoft s.r.o., a company registered in Slovakia ("we", "us", "our").

2. Description of Service

Deves is a conference and exhibition companion app that provides:

• Event program and schedule browsing
• Exhibitor directory with booth information
• Personal agenda management (favorites)
• Session registration for capacity-limited events
• QR ticket display for registered sessions
• Attendee directory and networking
• Meeting request system between attendees
• Push notifications for announcements, program changes, and meeting updates
• Venue maps

The App is provided in connection with specific events. Features and content may vary by event.

How we collect, use, and protect your data — including the optional anonymous usage statistics you can opt in to on first launch — is described in our Privacy Policy.

3. Account Registration

Some features require account registration. You may register using Email/Password, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In.

When creating an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Keep your login credentials secure
• Notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account

Guest access is available for browsing event content without registration. Networking features (meetings, attendee directory, session registration) require an account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Send unsolicited, abusive, or harassing messages via the meeting request system
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the App
• Upload malicious content or attempt to compromise App security

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Session Registration and QR Tickets

• Session registration is subject to availability and capacity limits set by event organizers.
• Registrations may require admin approval. Approved registrations receive a QR ticket displayed in the App.
• QR tickets are personal and non-transferable. Each ticket is valid for a single entry.
• Event organizers reserve the right to approve, reject, or revoke registrations at any time.
• We are not responsible for decisions made by event organizers regarding registration approval.

6. Meeting Requests

• The meeting request feature facilitates networking between event attendees.
• Sending a meeting request does not guarantee acceptance. Recipients may decline at their discretion.
• Meeting requests should be professional and related to the event context.
• We reserve the right to restrict meeting features for users who send abusive or spam requests.

7. Attendee Directory

Registered users appear in the attendee directory by default. You can change your visibility during registration or later in profile settings:

• Directory visibility — enabled by default; you can opt out at any time
• Email visibility — shown only if you explicitly enable it
• Phone visibility — shown only if you explicitly enable it

While directory visibility is enabled, other event attendees can see your name, organization, and position.

8. Push Notifications

The App may send push notifications including:

• Program reminders for favorited sessions
• Program changes (schedule, location, cancellations)
• Meeting request and status updates
• Session registration status updates
• Broadcast announcements from event organizers
• Emergency notifications

You can manage notification permissions through your device settings. Emergency notifications may be sent with elevated priority for safety purposes.

9. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, and content, is the intellectual property of Awisoft s.r.o. and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

Event content (program schedules, exhibitor information, announcements) is provided by event organizers and remains their intellectual property.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our written consent.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Event information displayed is accurate or up-to-date (content is managed by event organizers)
• The App will be compatible with all devices

We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy and availability but cannot guarantee it, particularly during large events with high network traffic.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Awisoft s.r.o. shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the App
• Loss of data, missed sessions, or failed meeting arrangements
• Actions or decisions of event organizers
• Interruptions caused by network conditions, device limitations, or third-party services

12. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through the App's profile settings. Upon deletion:

• Your profile data, favorites, and meeting history will be permanently removed
• Session registrations associated with your account will be cancelled
• Push notification tokens will be removed

Deletion is irreversible. Some anonymized data may be retained for legitimate purposes (e.g., aggregate event statistics).

13. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase (Google) — authentication, database, push notifications, crash reporting
• Google Sign-In — optional authentication method
• Apple Sign-In — optional authentication method
• Google ML Kit — on-device QR code scanning in the companion check-in app

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Slovak Republic. Any disputes shall be resolved by the competent courts in Bratislava, Slovakia.

For users within the European Union, nothing in these Terms affects your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify users of significant changes via the App or email.
